Hi guys what’s up?
Life is kinda hectic lately but I’m starting to get used to the situation and finally able to balance my work-private life better. Anyway, I have been trying some products lately, and today I am going to share with you guys my experience with COSRX – Propolis Light Ampoule which I have tried since 3 weeks ago.
As usual, I’ll start with the packaging, its really simple just like the other COSRX’s product packaging. The product came in a glass like bottle with a dropper, and it contains about 20ml of product.
Anyway, first thing first, I think it’s necessary for me to explain what ampoule is. Skincare could be complicated, eh? there’s so many things, starting from toner to essence to chemical exfoliator and so on so forth. Anyway, ampoule and serum is kinda same but it’s also different, both contain high concentration of active ingredients but ampoule tend to have a more condensed active ingredients. I prefer use ampoule before essence, or if I’m not using essence I’d use it after I use toner, and after that I’d use serum or just skip serum and use moisturizer.
The Propolis Light Ampule is comprised of 80% Propolis extract. Natural moisturizing component, amino acids, and vitamin B5 retexturize and refine the skin. Intensified nutrients in the ampule strengthens the skin’s barrier and moisture retention. The ampule illuminated the complexion and provides long lasting hydrationfor a radiant, youthful glow. It has a silky texture to deliver hydration and elasticity to your skin!
The main ingredient of this ampoule is propolis. Propolis is a really great ingredient as it has anti-oxidant, anti-acne, and anti-inflammatory function. So I would say that propolis is really great to treat a inflamed skin or acne scars as it can speed up the acne/wounded skin healing process.
Texture and scent
The texture of this ampoule is viscous, but it absorbed really quickly once it applied to our skin. It’s not visible on the picture above, but it gave my skin a dewy finish. This ampoule has no scent at all, not even a weird smell or natural smell from the propolis (I don’t know how propolis smells like tbh).
I have a mixed feelings about this ampoule, I like it but I also don’t like it that much. In my opinion, this ampoule is very moisturizing (I spent my day in an air-conditioned room which always made my skin dehydrated, but since I use this ampoule I no longer experience it), it also made my skin glow and I am loving the dewy finish. I am not expecting this toner to be able to help in controling my sebum production, but my skin gets a bit more oily ever since I used this ampoule (but to be honest, I am not sure if its because of this ampoule or because I moved to a city that has higher humidity level and much hotter than my hometown). The good thing is, it doesn’t break me out. I’m still interested in trying other propolis-based product though.
Repurchase? No, I want to try the other propolis-based product (ampoule or essence) first.
Well, that’s it for today! Have you tried this ampoule or other propolis based products? Tell me about it on the comment box!
