Its the end of June and I just thought I should write something in my blog, so here I am telling you my experience with (another) kbeauty skincare. I was planning a lot of things, things I want to write in this blog but it just never come to a realization for one and another reasons. I’ve been posting more about skincare on my instagram, so please follow me there to get more updates about kbeauty and other stuff 😀
Anyway, I will be reviewing Klairs – Supple Preparation Unscented Toner which was released around three months ago. I’ve been using this for about 3 weeks, everyday, AM and PM.
Ok so, I’ve tried the original version of this toner before and I love it so much, and the original one is basically my favorite toner eveeerrrrrrrr. So when this one came out I got curious, but I didn’t get t immediately. Only after 2 months I finally decided to buy it.
Speaking of packaging, it has the bottle is as identical as the original one, but this one has clear bottle with purple label. The transparent plastic makes it easier for us to see how much product we have left, though. I always a big fan of this kind of packaging, and the material is plastic so its also travel friendly.
What exactly the difference between the unscented and original version?
So klairs decided to make a new version that will be suitable for those whose skin are sensitive to fragrance and essential oil. So yes, this one is essential oil free and fragrance free. They also claimed that this toner is more lightweight and absorbed faster. Other than that, the ingredients is pretty identical with the original version.
Water, Butylene Glycol, Dimethyl Sulfone, Betaine, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Natto Gum, Sodium Hyaluronate, Disodium EDTA, Centella Asiatica Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Polyquaternium-51, Chlorphenesin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Carbomer, Panthenol, Arginine, Luffa Cylindrica Fruit/Leaf/Stem Extract, Beta-Glucan, Althaea Rosea Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Portulaca, Oleracea Extract, Lysine HCL, Proline, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Acetyl Methionine, Theanine, Copper Tripeptide-1
Texture and Scent
Obviously this one doesn’t have any smell as its unscented, but I find it smells like a plastic bottle and a medicine somehow. Its pretty strong and it kinda bother me at first. Texture wise, its just like the original version. The texture is a bit viscousy but it absorbed
What do I think about this toner?
I would say I’d prefer the original one, firstly because I find this version smells like a plastic bottle+medicine, I kinda missed the scent of the original toner which is refreshing and soooo good. But overall, I experience the same thing as when I use the original toner. This toner is very hydrating, its good for layering but you might want to wait for at least 30 seconds before layering it with another toner/products as its not absorbed that fast. This one will be great for peoples who are sensitive to fragrance or essential oil, but for me (as I’m not sensitive to either fragrance or essential oil) I’d prefer to stick with the original version.
Alrighttt, that’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed it! Don’t forget to follow my instagram for more updates about skincare related posts!
