Hey everyone! Its been more than a year since I wrote a blog post. I’m pretty surprised tho when I saw my stats, knowing many people still visit and read this blog warms my heart. Like really, thank you guys it really means a lot to me:-)
I know I haven’t been writing anything for more than a year but it doesn’t stop me from trying new skincare! I have tried so many new things in the past one year and I am really excited to share it with you guys
One of the skin problems I always have trouble dealing with is blackhead. I have an oily skin and it seems like blackhead just love to sit there in my skin walking around like they are welcomed in my skin, while in fact NO. Salicylic acid is basically my go to for this problem, so I tried the cult’s favorite chemical exfoliator, Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant.
This chemical exfoliator is sooooo famous but I never got the chance to try it until, umm around last year. I saw so many great reviews about this baby and I thought oh why not.
Basically this is a gentle chemical exfoliator that contains 2% salicylic acid that will quickly unclogs pores, smooths wrinkles, brightens and evens out skin tones, and clears & minimizes enlarged pores (via paula’s choice website). They say that you can use this twice a day everyday, but I choose to use this only 2-3 times a week at night time because the last thing I want (other than blackhead) is over exfoliate my skin. Feel free to use this everyday but I really would recommend you to use this 2-3 times a week, and don’t forget to wear sunscreen!
So I’ve been diligently use this for the last couple months and I’m pretty happy with the result. It doesn’t get rid of my blackhead, no. It still appears in my T-zone from time to time, like I don’t think there’s a way of getting rid of this unwanted friend forever (blame my poor diet). But, I saw a really great improvement in my pores, like it minimized and my face looks so smooth and glowing.
And, cystic acne no longer appears in my face during my period! Which is a big win for me because I despise cystic acne HAHA. It definitely don’t get rid of acne forever, but it definitely reduced tiny bumps and uneven skin tone. So in conclusion, I do think this chemical exfoliator is worth the price and the hype. Hats of Paula’s Choice, I’m definitely will re-purchase this.
