[REVIEW] Krave Beauty – Oat So Simple Water Cream

Today, I decided to stop saying “I know its been a while ……..” in my blogpost opening. I am just going to embrace the fact that me, writing a blogpost will happen once in a blue moon lol.

Anyway, how’s everyone’s quarantine doing? It’s been more than four months of self-quarantine for me. I know this could be stressful, but I hope everyone is doing okay!

So I tried so hard not to do a skincare splurge in this quarantine season, but you know it doesn’t work as always. I have been wanting to try Krave beauty’s oat so simple water cream and finally now I got the chance to do so! I got this last week and I have been using it religiously, every day.

I always love Krave Beauty’s product, I literally have tried every single of their products by now and they never disappoint me. I always love it.

Okay, gotta say that I’m impressed by Krave Beauty, I really love how they are encouraging people to ‘slow down’ in their skincare routine. I mean, they are basically selling skincare, yet they are encouraging people to buy less. I guess it just shows that they actually care about our skin, and being thoughtful about it. Because I do agree that splashing tons of products on your face won’t do you any good, but you’ll end up with a mess in your bank account (unless you’re like super-rich). Will splurging on skincare do any good to your skin? Not so much. Will being more conscious of your skincare spending do you any good? definitely. So listen to Krave Beauty people!! LISTEN. TO. YOUR. SKIN. NEEDS.

ANYWAY.

Soooooo, this water cream is part of their core series and I think it’s their latest product. This little baby only got less than 10 ingredients in it and the main ingredient is oats. Oat is kinda new in the moisturizer world, I’m pretty much sure that they are like the first brand who use oat as the main ingredient of their moisturizer (am I wrong??? I gotta do some research after this). But I love oat, oat is good, oat is my favorite breakfast, so why not!

In short, oat sparks joy! It has tremendous skin-calming properties that will calm your skin like really calm. This moisturizer is suitable for all skin type, so you can use it, I can use it, your mum can use it, your brother can use it, everyone can use it.

Here’s the full ingredients, for your references:

Water, Butylene Glycol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Squalane, 1,2-Hexanediol, Behenyl Alcohol, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Avena Sativa (Oat) Meal Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin

Let’s talk about texture. As you can see, the texture looks very rich, it looks like khiel’s ultra facial cream texture and tbh it kinda smells the same. But! No no no, it’s not the same as khiel’s. At first, it does kinda feel like its gonna be a very heavy, rich cream. But you know looks can be deceiving, as I apply it, it changes to a very lightweight, absorbed quickly, and hydrating cream.

So my verdict? I love this. I have oily-dehydrated skin and this cream is hydrating enough for me and it doesn’t make my skin oily at all. In my full week of using this, I see no congested pores or any breakouts in my skin, all is good, no funny business here. It’s not a mattifying cream, I definitely still got the dewy glow (that I adore) on my skin and I love it. And for the price tag ($28 or around Rp. 400,000) I think it is worth the bucks, I mean its good, its packed with beautiful ingredients, and its gonna last for at least 3-4 ish months anyway (in my case it’s always like this). So yup! definitely give it a try if you’re looking for a good moisturizer for your skin.

I hope its helpful and I hope you enjoyed this! Stay safe, stay healthy<3 and do give me a follow on Instagram😉

😉

xx,

Salsa
